Candidate will be responsible for managing, directing and planning one, but occasionally more than one, complex project consisting of one or more project teams. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning project tasks, team building, maintaining working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT. Applies project development methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status. May manage and direct one or more project teams to meet complex project objectives. Reviews, evaluates and formulates project plans, schedules and budgets. Allocates staff and budget resources to meet changing corporate needs. Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives. Organizes and guides project operations through the use of methodologies accepted by the industry. Evaluates progress and reports progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects. Modifies schedules as required. Works with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support. Keeps informed of technical and managerial advances in IT. General supervision, but able to function independently. May direct one or more teams of project managers, specialists, analysts and programmers. Able to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.
Desired Project Experience
Familiarity with deploying data, IT security and application infrastructure in data centers as well as remote field sites.
Understanding of IT security strategies and/or technologies; data loss prevention, cyber security and perimeter security
Working knowledge of industry standard security application products e.g. client, workstation, server, email, data capture, anti-virus, scanners, IDS, IPS, DDoS, firewall, etc.
Technical Required Skills:
Strong IT project management/leadership background.
Proven track record of delivering on large scale and/or multiple projects.
Experience overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, resource allocation, budget, requirements, design and delivery execution (development, QA, and implementation).
Communicates well up, down, and across the organization.
Ability to write effectively for a variety of audiences in appropriate language.
Responds to changing demands and priorities.
Ability to consistently deliver high quality results and manage multiple priorities.
Must possess exceptional leadership, people management, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to anticipate risk and build mitigation plans.
Experience of working in a fast moving environment and the ability to handle various tasks at once.
Proficient in MS Office tools including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Articulates ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience.
Experience managing consulting and off-shore employees, including staffing, training, coordinating, organizing, monitoring, and coaching.
Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization.
International project experience.
Focused and versatile team player.
Demonstrated, applied experience supporting project management activities.
Solid core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK.
Knowledge and some experience in the use of project management and SDLC methodologies and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years related experience as a project team member of which at least two year have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
