Associate Director, Enterprise Technology

Talon is seeking an individual experienced in the design, deployment, and operation of advanced enterprise infrastructure, including networks, cloud deployments, and building systems. This is a highly technical position which will require significant experience with Cisco networks, AWS environment design and management, and hands-on experience with modern commercial building systems.

 

Key responsibilities  for this role are as follows:
  • Interact heavily with internal and vendor teams responsible for the integration of disparate hardware and software systems.   This role will hold primary responsibility for management of and upgrades to the extensive enterprise Cisco network.  This position will be responsible for ensuring the continued operation of existing infrastructure to support a variety of systems and services (Wifi, HVAC/Energy, Elevators, Life Safety Systems, Turnstiles, Voice, etc.) This position will also hold primary architectural responsibilities for strategic planning and upgrades for the enterprise and building infrastructure.
  • This is a highly technical hands-on position.  The successful individual will be highly pro-active, and self-starter, and comfortable working towards highly strategic goals.

    Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working Cisco environment, with expert level (CCIE) knowledge of routing, switching and wireless, including 9k, 7k and 5k network fabrics
  • Advanced knowledge of network methodologies (MPLS, VRF, VPC, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience working in an AWS management environment
  • Highly experienced in network cyber-security best practices (firewall configs, ACLs, etc.)
  • Experience with SDN/SD-WAN planning and technologies
  • Experience evaluating and managing Cisco Smartnet agreements
  • Experience and comfort with stakeholder management and communications at the senior management level
  • Technology management experience, including building, motivating, and optimizing teams
  • Familiarity with PMO best practices and ability to interface with Project Management resources
  • Proven ability to effectively work with team members and business stakeholders across diverse roles and experience levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with hybrid on-premise/cloud solutions
  • Strong foundation in information security and production resiliency principles and practices
  • BS/BA Degree from an accredited University

Preferred skills:
  • CCIE/CCSP Certification or similar
  • Experience working in an Azure environment
  • Experience with IoT architectures, security, management and device integrations
  • Strong data architecture, data analytics, and/or data science skills
