Mainframe Capacity / Performance Engineer

A Health Insurance company is presently looking for a Mainframe Capacity and Performance Engineer for their team.  The Engineer will be responsible for gathering daily SMF statistics related to all processing on the mainframe. Complete daily and monthly reports for both internal and business partners as needed. Position is to install and configure CA-MICS, must have solid CA-MICS skills in all levels of the product from install to configuring to daily process of the product. Must have SAS skills and working knowledge of SMF mainframe data. 
Technical Skills Required:
  • Must have experience in TSO, JCL, SAS, MXG, CA-MICS, Omegamon and be familiar with the IBM SCRT process.
  • Working knowledge of SMF data to generate reports for ad-hoc requests.
  • CA-MICS skills are a must related to install, initial setup of product and configuring to company standards.
  • Required experience in MICS and SAS.


Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least six, typically eight years of solid, diverse work experience in IT.
