Our client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their web application team. The goal  is to provide custom software  as our client continues to grow and expand its client base in the financial services industry. They support various web applications for different departments across the company as well as external, public-facing, applications. 

Job Description
  • You' ll design, develop and execute automated test plans so that these checks can be integrated into our build and release tools.
  • Document bugs and escalate them to other developers as necessary. 
  • Work with a team of application developers  to minimize the risk presented by bugs that may be introduced with a release.
  • You will be expected to make recommendations on how our current processes can be improved as this area of our develop team continues to mature. 
  • Explore new tools and QA processes.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure quality through testing and automation. 
  • You' re a developer who can deliver reliable code that other people -- and your future self --  will find easy to read and modify. 

Must have extensive experience with:
  • Working as a member of an Agile development team (as opposed to as part of a separate QA department).
  • Browser based testing using a JavaScript testing framework.
  • HTML, CSS, and one or more programming languages (JavaScript, Python, PHP, C#, etc.).
  • Experience testing front-end applications which utilize Angular or React.

Experience  is preferred but not required:
  • A basic understanding of continuous integration/deployment and how testing fits into those processes.
  • Browser based testing with Selenium WebDriver for all major browsers (e.g. IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
  • Mobile testing experience, including frameworks like Calabash or Appium (a plus but not required).
