Job Description:

A financial company is presently looking for a Senior UI Developer to add to their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded individual, looking to excel in a collaborative environment.

About the role:
  • - Working on real-time UI platform
  • - Primary Tech: React and Redux
  • - Secondary Tech: NodeJS and Java
  • - Financial experience not required, but a nice to have

  • Deliver high quality and   fully tested code with established software engineering practices
  • Be able to own a task from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Review peers' code in a constructive and objective manner
  • Achieve high velocity and high quality by maintaining sufficient coverage of unit, automation, functional, and load tests
  • Build reusable modules and libraries for future use
  • Continue to expand knowledge of new technologies, as well as strengthen current knowledge base
  • Production support

Nice to have:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Some understanding of cash and derivatives asset classes (IRD, CDS, FX, Equity, Energy, etc)
  • Knowledgeable about trading, experience on a trading floor is a plus
  • 3+  Node.js  experience
  • 2+ years of experience with a modern JavaScript UI framework (React,  vue.js, Redux)
  • Experienced in designing UI components and applications
  • Experience working with embedded applications, containers (Electron, OpenFin…)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (HTTP, WS...)
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling
  • Experience with front-end building tools (NPM, Webpack, Gulp, etc.)
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber)
  • Experience with common versioning tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Experience working with embedded applications, containers (Electron, OpenFin, etc.)
  • B.S. in computer Science or related field
