  • Position: IT Project Manager (Endpoint)
  • Status: Contract assignment
  • Contract duration: 10 months+

Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager. This position will work within the Enterprise Client Computing department, and more specifically within the Service Performance and Experience group. Individuals in the position perform the role of Project or Program Manager as asked by the SPX Delivery Lead. Responsibilities include driving the planning, execution, and closure of deliverables related to Endpoint and IT infrastructure initiatives.  The qualified candidate must be proficient at identifying and raising risks and issues so they’ re mitigated and managed appropriately ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget. Knowledge, skills, and experience utilizing the agile methodology while leveraging Rally, Jira, or other similar tools, as demanded by individual projects, is required. 

Specific areas of responsibility are:
  • Customer Focus
    • Work with IT leaders and business stakeholders across the enterprise to understand customer needs
    • Work to deliver a consistent, reliable customer experience
  • Leadership
    • Lead cross functional teams of senior team members up to director level
    • Represent this group to external stakeholders and customers on technology topics
    • Embrace a lean agile mindset
  • Strategy
    • Assist in establishing the strategic direction for the SPX Delivery team
    • Contribute to the planning of the overall organizational strategy
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Meet with key stakeholders to define requirements for future solutions
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to successfully integrate solutions and objectives
    • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to drive governance and ensure delivery on commitments
  • Continuous service improvement
    • Support service improvement efforts to prevent or reduce incidents, enhance existing support, and improve customer experience.

  • Demonstrated project/program management experience ideally in areas such as endpoint, compute or cloud
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and team building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading organizational change involving technology and associated business processes a plus
  • Agile (Kanban / Scrum) experience desired
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors at enterprise-level a plus
  • Bachelor’ s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
